The Arctic Parka made from Byrd Cloth is a tribute to the functionality of the classic Woolrich, created based on the reproduction of the discovery of Byrd Cloth. In 1930 Admiral E. Richard Byrd has developed this fabric which, thanks only to its thickness, is naturally water-resistant and protects from the cold. He patented as the first American cotton fabric and was worn by Admiral Byrd and his team during the Arctic expedition in 1939. In the course of research for the new collection, the team Woolrich has found fragments of the historic fabric and asked an Italian textile manufacturer to reproduce this opaque material, durable and breathable. This material is made of 100% cotton waterproof while the padding is 80/20 goose down. Detachable profiles in coyote fur.
